The X-Vent is one of AGV's most popular helmet designs, it's placed just below it's top of the range EVO and shares many of it's more expensive siblings features. The helmet's shell is constructed of Advanced Composite Fibres and utilises AGV's TAC System (Total Air Control) with six air flow ports for ventilation.
The overall finish is very high and the paint is very thick, It uses the double D ring fastening which means that you cannot undo the helmet with one had or while wearing gloves. The venting system works very well, sometimes too well as in the rain or in cold weather you can get rain blowing in onto your face (not good if you wear spectacles) or a cold icy blast on your face and because of the good venting can be a bit noisy.
One of my favourite features is the XQRS visor removal system. It allows you to easily and quickly replace the visor. (A tip here is to get hold of the EVO clear visor, these are basically the same visor, but have AGV's NFS (No Fog Shield) coating, while not being as good as a FogCity, is still a nice anti-fog feature and they cost around the same price as a standard replacement clear visor.
Overall I'm very happy with my AGV, and out of a quick head count on one of our run's every rider was wearing an AGV helmet except 2. Now what does that tell you?
