To be honest it was a fairly easy one to make after last weekends excellent ride through Wales ending up at Barmouth more of the same was required.
Firstly we arranged with Ray to meet him at some half way point, due to him living in south Wales we decided to meet up at Malvern and head off from there.
After leaving Malvern we headed down the B4232, A4103 and the B4220 until we reached the excellent A44. We stopped at an excellent cafe next to a petrol station near Crossgates that is obviously very well known to any local bikers.
After our usual healthy diet of fried food and a top up of fuel, we headed back down the A44 towards Rhayader and then on to some unclassified roads for a trip through the top of the Elan Valley.
These roads not so great for high speed riding but the views are amazing even if the new born lambs seemed very interested in the front of a Blackbird, and seemed to take every opportunity to jump out in front of one for a better look.
The end of these roads just so happens to drop you off just next the infamous Devil's Bridge, this place is well worth a visit if you're in the area, but unfortunately today we didn't have the time.
After our brief stop at Devil's Bridge and a look-see at the Mynach falls we jumped back on the bikes and headed west on the A4120 to Aberystwyth for a much deserved ice cream and rest.
