Stonehenge

Back

OK so a ride out to see the famous stone's cannot be described as your usual biker type thing, but we thought it was a good excuse for a ride (as if there is any need for an excuse) So off we trotted, heading south towards Stonehenge where upon we came across a load of stones stuck in the ground.

After 20 minutes of pointing and a heated discussion we eventually persuaded Bonzo that the lay-by we were in just outside Newbury was not Stonehenge but in fact just another Little Chef.

So off we trotted down the A34, then right on to the A303 passed Andover and then as we came over the crest of a hill we saw those magical stones twinkling in the day light (Opps sorry that was the sun being reflected off the cars parked in the car park net door)

After having a look round (We didn't pay to go inside, we just peered through the fence...bloody skinflints) and some refreshments we jumped back on the bikes and headed north on the A360/361 towards Avebury another famous stone circles and henge site. After yet more refreshments at the local pub we carried on our northerly heading passed Swindon and in to the Cotswolds.
